This is an incredibly beautiful paludarium. The variety of plants is great enough to give a natural impression, but planted and cared for in a way that doesn’t feel too busy. Seeing similar species planted throughout the layout further drives this point home. Mosses appear healthy and carefully maintained. Ivy species integrate with the hardscape very well, without feeling forced or contrived. The transition from above to below the surface is sudden, but feels accurate to the hardscape utilized. Life below the surface is excellently executed, with plant growth obscured by tinted waters, resulting in a feeling of stagnation or stillness.
