This is a visually stunning and beautiful tank with very healthy plants. This is hats-off horticulture. It has a lot of what good Dutch tanks should possess – it checks boxes for mosses, large leaved plants, dark green plants, curtains, moss walls, a shady pocket. The use of Echinodorus here is flawless and a genus that needs to brought back to Dutch scaping. Yet, it is crowded with too many plants and especially red plants and lacks the calmness that comes from space between groups. The foreground and midground are a series of very synthetic V-shaped streets. If this tank had fewer species, fewer red plants, and just one street, it would have placed at the top.
